TO ALL WOMEN WHO HAVE A MOTHER’S HEART:
This is Mother’s Day weekend. It is joyful for many but sorrowful for others. I have blessed memories of my mother who was a prayer warrior in my growing up. She was always encouraging. She was an amazing seamstress. She created a loving home atmosphere. Always loved God. She’s in heaven at 105 yrs.
Mothers who have wayward children or their children have died, they are very sorrowful on this day.
Mothers whose children live far away are sorrowful – half of my family is close and half is 2,000 miles away.
Wives that want to be mothers but have not been able to conceive are sorrowful on this day.
Unmarried women who love children but do not have their own feel sadness. I have a friend who is a minister as well as a special education teacher. She has no children but talks about her students as ‘my children.’
Children of all ages can be sorrowful on Mother’s Day because they were abandoned, abused, had a divorced family,
or their mother died.
I encourage all of us to be more sensitive to those around us. I believe God put in the heart of all women a ‘mothering spirit.’
THANK GOD that He was your Creator in your mother’s womb! Now you can love God with your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength and love others as you love yourself!
God is love and we are to love one another!
