(Note: This was first posted on my Life Enrichment Ministries, Inc (501c3) FB and Carol Theobald Clemans FB pages. I decided to share on my website for insight and discussion. I believe in God’s healing and speaking ‘life’ into our lives naturally, spiritually, emotionally and relationally. But I also believe that believers need not fear death. Salvation’s gift is the guaranteed HOPE of eternal life with God our Savior. We need not allow the devil to rob our joy in the Lord in this life fearing death and the instant transition into the presence of the Lord!)
DEATH IS PART OF LIFE! God’s view!
We that know God through His salvation in the power of the Holy Ghost should look at the possibility of death through a different lens than others without eternal hope in God.
I counsel many people who have lost a loved one through death or are fearful of sickness and death. Death is a natural part of life. The Bible says – it is appointed unto to man once to die and then the judgment. The hope is – to die is gain. To be absent from the body – is to be present with the Lord – in an instant!
God’s view is to rejoice at a death and grieve at a birth! Why? Because if we die in the Lord, we are instantly in the presence of God – troubles and trials are over – we are in our heavenly home – out of body experience in the presence of the Lord!
When a baby is born, we get excited, but that child has a soul that will live forever. We do not know the problems and troubles that might come into his/her life. We do not know if he/she will choose to love and serve God.
If we are diagnosed with a sickness that has a death sentence from a human point of view, we need to make the best decisions about our physical care and place ourselves in the hands of the Lord. Our life is in the hands of God. He knows our beginning from our end. He knows the day of our birth and the day of our death.
Psalm 116:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints.”
Why allow the devil to place anxiety and fear into our minds and hearts? God’s thoughts and ways are so far above our thoughts. Death is a part of life.
Yes, when a loved one goes to the Lord our grief is really about self. We miss them terribly. There is an emptiness that seems unbearable. Grief is a life long process. Grief ebbs and flows. It usually lessens a little through time, but never ceases. Because we love deeply, we grieve deeply. It’s part of life.
I pray these few words about God’s perspective on life and death stirs your thinking and creates dialogue with family and friends who have faith in God. There is no reason to fear death when our HOPE IS IN THE LORD!
