Romans 8: 35 – 39
Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[o]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[p] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
NOTE:
WOW!!!!!!! God’s truth is powerful! “Nothing in all of creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord!”
This truth is not based on feelings! It is based on facts! The holiday season can be emotionally painful for many people because of past or present losses, griefs, disappointments, abuses, etc.
In our painful circumstances, we must look beyond our feelings and dwell on God’s truths! God has promised to never leave or forsake us. He tells us many times in His Word to “Fear not!”
We are transformed by renewing our minds with God’s truth – Roms. 12: 1 & 2. We must choose to replace our negative toxic thoughts with God’s truth.
Get into the Word of God for yourself. Do not rely only upon your pastor to speak God’s truth. We each have direct access to God and His truth! We must daily eat the ‘spiritual meat’ that comes from God’s Word.
Make a choice to be thankful for every blessing of life. Yes, this Bible teacher/counselor must practice what she is writing/speaking. My life is not perfect. I have disappointments and God knows the details. I refuse to allow the devil to use the negatives in my life to steal my joy and peace in God!
I choose to ‘look unto Jesus the author and finisher of my faith’ and my life! Money cannot buy love, joy, and peace. They are the manifestations of the Fruit of the Spirit – to maintain them I must be patient, kind, good, faithful, meek (having my strength under God’s control) and have self-control!
Because — nothing can separate me from the love of God! God is love! The love of God is ‘shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost.’
Praising God for His many attributes will replace the heavy spirit. The garment of praise replaces the heavy spirit! We can defeat the devil daily through praise even in the midst of adverse circumstances!!!
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
