FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS!

1 Peter 2:21 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
21 “For even to this were you called [it is inseparable from your vocation]. For Christ also suffered for you, leaving you [His personal] example, so that you should follow in His footsteps.”
I just finished watching an old video entitled, IN HIS STEPS. It was made from a book written, IN HIS STEPS. It is the story how a full commitment to God changed the lives of church attendees.
God believers must walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Paul instructed the church in Ephesians 5:1 to be imitators or followers of God!
How should this impact our lives? God’s answer is that in everything we do, we ask self the question, “What would Jesus do?” God’s Word tells us in Colossians 3 twice, to do all we do heartily as unto the Lord for His glory!
Paul told us in 1 Corinthians 6 that our body belongs to God (we are the temple of the Holy Ghost). Therefore, glorify God in our body and our spirit which belong to God!
How might this change some who claim to be baptized in the Holy Ghost? Every open door I have through teaching, counseling or writing about God’s Word, I am challenging others to become imitators of God. How? By the implanted Word of God!
We can learn from God’s anointed Word how to be holy as He is holy. Study Galatians 5 – the Fruit of the Spirit. Study 1 Corinthians 13 – God is Love – the definition of love – put your name in these chapters and do as they say.
It’s all about total surrender to God in every thought, feeling, and action! This surrender to God gives us the power to resist the devil and he will flee from us in Jesus name!
We can walk in victory (even through adversity) by total surrender to God in all areas of our lives. Invite God into the details of your life! Develop an intimate ongoing dialogue with the Lord. Allow Him to be the Lord of your life.
Your life is your witness to others. Are you genuine? Do you have integrity in all that you do? Can others see God’s character in you?
Living a godly life is easy when we totally surrender our will and our ways unto the Lord! We are complete in Him!
