Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”
NOTE: Does your tongue produce good or evil fruit?
In my counseling nationwide, I see the tongue being the instrument of destruction to self and others. Harsh negative words are never a blessing!
When you think/speak negative, it causes physical brain damage. Toxic words are death words to self and others. You will bear the consequences of death words.
When you think/speak positive, it causes the physical brain to light up and grow new connectors. Life words infuse hope and healing to self and others.
Spirit-filled believers should have a tongue of kindness, encouragement, Holy Ghost control, peacefulness, love, etc.
We must choose to be Holy Ghost controlled even when we are angry. We have no right to raise our voice with harshness and criticism. Anger is not sin, it is what we do with the anger.
We all will answer to God for every idle painful word that we speak. A Holy Ghost filled heart will not harm others with the tongue!
