FROM THE HEART OF THIS BIBLE TEACHER/COUNSELOR:
Proverbs 14: 30 “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body;
jealousy is like cancer in the bones.”
Brain scientists have proven through modern technology that our physical brain reacts to our thoughts and words. If our thoughts/words are negative, there is a blackness that appears in the brain looking like large holes. When we think/speak positive words, our brains lighten up and start growing new connectors.
Our brain controls our body. When we live and walk in peace it will lead to healthy bodies. If we walk in jealousy, hatred, discord, it is like cancer in the bones – destructive.
If we want peace and harmony in our families, we must walk in the Spirit and be renewed in the Spirit of our mind. We choose our thoughts – thoughts create feelings – we act out on how we feel.
Are we allowing God to be in control of our thoughts? Filter every thought through God first. God will transform your feelings into a positive force and your actions/words will be godly. It is being Holy Ghost controlled!
A person who harbors jealousy will sow discord. The sower will reap their own discord in this life and eternity. The person who feels superior to others speaks words of condemnation. If you are in a situation where ‘death’ words are spoken, do all you can to remove yourself.
Refuse to allow negative words to penetrate your heart/mind. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Replace the negative with God’s truth. We are created by God in His image and after His likeness for His glory!
Speak/pray God’s Word. Speak life into your situation physically, emotionally, spiritually and relationally. Thank God for your good health. Thank God for answers to prayer yet unseen. Praise God for salvation and all of His daily benefits.
When you know the truth, the truth shall make you free. Growing in God is a process of gaining knowledge, asking God for His wisdom and allowing the process to transform your heart/mind.
You choose what you think about. Choose life! Choose God’s truth! Your thoughts do impact your health! We can experience God’s peace even in the middle of adversity if we obey His Word – Phil 4.
We have the Prince of Peace living in our hearts through the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Fear/anxiety/depression are a result of negative thoughts. We must look through the eyes of God about our today and our future. Nothing is impossible with God!
Seek peace and pursue it!
1 Peter 3 – 10 For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him [c]refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Submit your thoughts to God – He will give you godly feelings and your actions will be godly for His glory!
Proverbs 3
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
