God and His Word is the most important issue of life. We must do all we do according to His Word. If we do not make Him an intimate part of our lives, we will not live by His wisdom.
Psm 119: 9 – 11
“How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
With my whole heart I have sought you: Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”
My parents taught by their example being in the Word daily and living the Word. Our children must see and hear us seeking God’ wisdom through His word and prayer daily.
Nothing is more important in life than being assured of our salvation through obedience to His Word. We must choose to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
God told Israel and us (Deut. 6) to teach God’s statues to the children when we sit in the house, walk along the way, when we lie down and when we rise up. To make it practical – through all of life’s experiences, ask the question, “What would God want us to do?”
