Do you want joy and peace in your life? The letters written to the church from Romans to Jude tell us how to be holy as He is Holy. When we are busy seeking His will in our lives, we will have joy and peace. These letters tell us how we aught to behave ourselves to please and serve God.
Ephesians 4: 23 & 24 instructs, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” The only way we can put on the new man is reading God’s instruction book!
Romans 12: 1 & 2 gives us this instruction, “I, beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (worship). And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that he may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
If you are battling any type of sin or addiction, you can overcome if you are willing to totally submit your heart, soul, mind and strength under God’s control. It’s the Word of God in our hearts that gives us the power to not sin against the Lord.
If you are emotionally wounded from abusive happenings in your life, God’s truth can change the way you think – the battle is in the mind! We can have the mind of Christ through the power of His Spirit and His Word! It takes a determined attitude and a strong commitment to God for healing. You must take ownership of your change, healing and growth in God.
