REFLECTING:
I will be teaching a Marriage Seminar in Houston, MS, Nov. 21 – 23, 4 sessions! In preparing for this seminar, (I’ve been teaching on marriage for 30 years!) I was thinking about the wonderful example that I had in my parents who loved God, loved each other and us children. They married in 1933 – my father loved his wife as Christ loved the church. They enjoyed almost 62 years before he went to the Lord!
He was a servant leader in our home. The Biblical principles that I teach I saw in action my whole life. Nov. 20th this year would have been my parents’ 81st. wedding anniversary.
My husband, ordained minister – Harold Clemans, and I have been blessed with 44 years of marriage. We entered marriage keeping God in the center of our lives. Marriage is two imperfect people choosing to be joined in marriage for life. With God in the center of the marriage, a couple can survive anything that happens in life! We are proof of that!!
The Biblical secret is obeying: Ephesians 5:21 – “Submitting one to another in the fear of the Lord!”
