Porn addiction has a major foothold in the church today – read the book: CLEAN – by Dr. Douglas Weiss – get educated. The devil has so many deceived thinking they can sin against God in secret and get by with it. I feel so strongly about speaking God’s truth because I’m counseling people nationwide by phone/Skype who are allowing these sins to beset them. They have learned how to ‘act holy’ at church and sin with their mind and body continually.
1 John 3:3New (NKJV)
3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
God is coming for a people that are without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. HE says, “Be holy for I AM holy!” We cannot be saved with sexual sins dominating our thoughts and our actions. Jesus is coming for a Bride that is pure in heart. Gals. 5 teaches us that the works of the flesh will stop anyone from entering into the Kingdom of God!
The Bible tells us to put off the sinful actions and put on the Lord Jesus Christ! Yes, Jesus died on a cross to save us from our sins, but His word tells us to cleanse ourself – stop doing sinful things – it’s all about choice – we have the power through the Holy Ghost to live godly lives!
Romans 8 instructs us to not walk in the flesh, but to walk in the Spirit. Paul asked the question at the end of Romans 7 – who can save me from this battle of selfishness – “Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?” Verse 25 – “Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.”
